Facebook.com/sarafabel — Majority of us look for the perfect one - “the one”. The lover that ticks all our imaginary boxes and fills all our secret expectations. But in all this fantasizing we forget to look in the mirror and realize that what we expect from others, we can’t even start to fill ourselves. We are imperfect, flawed and haunted by the ghosts of our past.
Nobody, even as much as they might claim so, has a picture perfect past, a zero mistake record for the ups and downs of life.
We expect so much from others, yet let our own misbehavings slip through our fingers. No responsibility, no remorse, no apologizes.
Don’t waste your life looking for “the one”, be the one to yourself. Listen to your heart and spend the time knowing yourself before you start to get to know somebody else. Understand that nobody will ever tick all the magic boxes and fill the criteria we so naively made up, our little utopia of perfection.
Love one another with the good and the bad, with all the flaws. Learn from each other, learn from your own mistakes and understand that as much as you try there will always be an endless amount of mistakes to be made.
We are all imperfect. But what makes us worth all the devotion and love is our ability to grow, sympathize and put ourselves in each others shoes and slowly start to understand why some of those boxes will never be ticked.
Grow, learn from your past and experiences of others and never be afraid to love one another, friend or a lover.
